January, 1996. Here's where it all started. At this stage RED was just a stack of frames. We'd come down to Sidney, BC from Juneau, Alaska to see how things were coming along. Not very exciting. As things turned out, we'd had a few miscommunications about the length of our new boat. No one's fault, but if we'd come down a week later, RED would have been 52 feet, not 48! Note: Be careful when taking dimensions from drawings that are faxed between scanners (300 lines/inch) and old-fashioned paper faxes (200 lines/inch)! |
