eSpinner Retreats

We host miniSpinner-oriented retreats with Judith MacKenzie every few months.  We like to keep them in the Pacific Northwest, but we occasionally organize them elsewhere in the country if our schedules permit.  These are a rare opportunity to spend intensive personal time on miniSpinners with Judith MacKenzie in a small class setting.

Learn everything you need to know to get the MOST out of your miniSpinner, including:

  • Diameter control

  • Color blending

  • Controlling slippery (yummy) fibers

  • Understanding wheel mechanics

  • and much more!

Judith's classes tend to be intensive but informal.  There are plenty of opportunities for questions, discussion, and demonstrations.

What's Included:

  • Two full days of class with Judith

  • An evening program with Judith

  • Care and feeding of your miniSpinner and WooLee Winder by Kevin Hansen

  • An evening program with Beth and Kevin Hansen

  • Pre-retreat Happy Hour and snacks

We're there at least part of the time to tune up miniSpinners, talk about new stuff, and answer questions.  The material fee is included in the tuition.  We usually have a number of exotic fibers for you to play with.

Lodging:

Lodging is not included but we usually arrange for group rates at a nearby hotel.

The First eSpinner Retreat:

A group pic from the Forks eSpinner retreat, January 2011.  That's a padauk miniSpinner in front.

Some of the fiber available to try.  Kevin's observing and consulting.

Lots of miniSpinners!

Judith discussing, well, I can't remember what - but it was interesting!
