This one is equipped with the optional WooLee Winder level-wind flyer, a terrific convenience for both spinning and plying, since you don't have to stop to change hooks. Most miniSpinners are sold with this flyer.

The speed control adjusts the flyer speed from zero to about 1500 RPM. I have verified the speed with my laser tachometer.

The direction switch selects whether the flyer rotates clockwise or counterclockwise. The center position is off. If you don't want to use the foot switch included with the miniSpinner you can control the miniSpinner with this toggle switch.

A foot switch is included. You plug the foot switch into the foot switch jack. You can configure the foot switch to operate in either "deadman" mode (press down for on, release for off), or "tap-on/off" mode.

The Scotch tension adjustment runs very smoothly on a steel shaft in a plastic bushing. You can easily adjust the friction to suit your preferences.
