WooLee Winder Quill Inserts
A quill is a useful accessory for spinning very fine
fiber with an absolute minimum of tension, or for spinning
bulky/bumpy art yarns. You're not constrained by the size of
the miniSpinner's orifice or the Scotch tension required to draw the
fiber onto the bobbin.
We make two sizes: 3mm(1/8")/4" long
for thin fiber, and a larger 6.5mm(1/4")/6-1/2" long quill
for bulky yarns (or larger copps of fine stuff).
The two sizes of quill inserts as well as one
installed in a solid lacewood miniSpinner.
Note: These do not fit in Ashford Jumbo
flyers, which are slightly smaller than 5/8".
