Bloodwood

Bloodwood, also known as cardinal wood, is from South America.  It is very hard and high in silica content, but still pleasant to work with (mostly).  It's very durable and a stable wood.

Bloodwood will eventually age to a deep brown color.

This is one of the first exotic wood miniSpinners I built.  I like the contrast between the two woods.
