Cherry
Cherry is a common American wood used extensively
for furniture and flooring. The sapwood is
quite light, almost white, while heartwood varies from very light
(as below) to a fairly deep brown. Freshly milled cherry is
often very light in color and easily mistaken for maple if you don't
look closely. Cherry darkens fairly
rapidly when exposed to light, eventually assuming a rich, brown
color. Even fluorescent light is sufficient to cause a color
change.
A standard cherry miniSpinner equipped with a
matching cherry WooLee Winder level-wind flyer. This is easily
the most popular model.
