Walnut

Walnut is a common American wood, and really more of a specialty (for miniSpinners) than a true exotic.  

Walnut is very nice to work with and is often very dark and a masculine wood.  It looks terrific with maple, as you can see below.

A particularly distinctive piece of walnut; this miniSpinner now lives in Switzerland.  This would be an example of a Select grade miniSpinner.  Most walnut is uniformly dark and lacks the dramatic light wood present in this piece.
