Tour - Engine access
How's this for great engine access? The engine is directly beneath the companionway in a soundproof box which is removable in about a minute. You can literally step over the engine into the equipment room, and if the engine ever needs to be replaced it will be a simple matter of lifting it straight up through the companionway.. If you look carefully at the lower left of the image, you can see the large opening panel that gives access to the starboard side of the engine from the aft cabin. All of the service points on the engine are on this side, except for the raw water pump which has its own access panel on the opposite side. |
